We stayed with Tabitha and the kids and on Saturday morning all drove out to Hondo. Uncle Travis and Uncle Ryan figured out how to entertain the kiddos quickly, introducing them to some bones from a raccoon (or some other animal) and wild hog. The tusks were a big hit and they washed off the bones in a tub of water...which turned into BIG (translation: messy) fun.
Late in the afternoon we made it to the Frio and found a great spot just up from Garner Park. We enjoyed the cool river until it was almost dark. The uncles took all the kids up river a ways and Travis bet them all a dollar they couldn't crawl through a hollow log. I won't say it was a bad bet but he left about $5 poorer.
