It's days like this--spending time with family and just enjoying the good food and company--when I am most thankful for the role I have in this family. There is so much to life--not just in the exciting or out-of-the ordinary days.There are days filled with lists and errands and learning and laundry and cooking where I have to keep focused, or it would be so easy to lose the joy. But...then there are days where simple pleasures seem magnified, like enjoying a meal and cake with great-grandparents and grandmother and aunt and great-uncle. Surely there have been days where I feel things are hard or I can't keep up, but I never, ever wish that I was somewhere other than with my children--wherever that is.
