But for little Voigt Boys, they last several weeks. Cooper celebrated his second birthday weekend (before his actual birth day) and a third is coming up this weekend. I think my bestie from college, Kelsey, would be very proud of this. We both had a birthday "week" in college and I continue that tradition to this day. (My darling husband is very sweet to comply with this.)
The weekend of March 15th Rick and Amy came to stay and that Saturday evening we grilled fajitas, had birthday cake and lots of porch time. We also celebrated Rick and Amy's birthdays.
This past weekend, the whole Moore clan came (sans Kelsey and John, who were moving into a new house) and stayed the night. And...surprise! Grandpa and Grandma hauled in a playscape that all the men promptly built (in 8 hours!). There was a chance of rain but the Lord blessed us with an ah-mazing day, overcast, not too hot and no rain!! So we all pretty much sat around watching them put it together and enjoying the company. And the finished result had two little boys beyond excited. They played well into the night. Of course, we had some birthday cake after our bbq.
