Our sweet baby boy turned 4! Lucas Cole has been celebrating all week. First, we had a birthday lunch at Mumu's house, where Aunt Becky, Uncle Jimmy, Mumu and Memaw were the birthday guests.
Thursday, on his birthday, after a do-nut birthday breakfast, I dropped the big boys off at my parents' and Lucas and I hit the town, just the two of us. We got the birthday boy a haircut, picked out a new nightlight, and ran some errands--but, since it was a special day, Lucas pretty much had a sucker wherever we went.
Saturday morning, we took Lucas to Chuckie Cheese. He's had his heart set on going since the beginning of the year, and it turned out to be a wonderful end to his birthday week.
He loves watching Little Bear, singing any Jordan Feliz song, but especially The River, bright shoes, picking out his own clothes, his tools, and all the desserts.
Lord, thank you for the blessing of family. And thank you for this little boy--so full of life and sweetness--who completes our family perfectly.
