Oh, the love between a boy and his watch. Cooper is obsessed loves his watch.
I loathe to take it off at bedtime because he frantically looks at it to see the time before it is off. He compulsively checks it all during dinner time. Every time it beeps, he let's us all know, "It's five o'clock!" (Or insert every other hour on the hour for five o'clock.)
Needless to say, he loves his watch.
He has also recently picked up an obsession with all things sports. He's very interested in football and baseball games, and will sit (but not all that still) and watch an entire game. Every morning since the World Series started, Justin would write on my dry erase board the score of the game from the night before, so that as soon as Cooper wakes up he can see who won. We're not sure if he's into the games, or is just feeding into his obsession with all things numbers!
For as many times as Cooper and Brayden fight like cats and dogs, we also have that many days where they are just sweet as pie to each other. I love listening to their conversations during these days. Like yesterday, I heard:
B: Is it fine if your bear relaxes on me a minute?
C: Yeah, that's fine.
B: (in a very reassuring voice) But he likes relaxing on you the best, Cooper.
Then, one afternoon when Cooper had just gotten home from school, he was saying hi to Lucas and Brayden shouted from the couch, "Cooper, love on him and he'll love on you!"
