Tales of a Little Voigt Boy

The weekend of the 14th, we went to Houston for the Texans game on Sunday. Justin and I attended the game with Carla and Kevin, while Aunt Kelsey watched the boys. They decorated cookies and ordered pizza! She sent me a few pictures of them hanging out.

Last week we had some incredible fall weather. Perfectly cool outside, and so outside we were for much of the time. Cooper's main activity now is running...he says, "on mark, get set, go!" and then he's off around the driveway. He races Brayden, but beats him every time. Poor Brayden gets halfway, then his pace slows and he says, "I'm tired."

Last weekend Aunt Megan and Katlyn were home from college, and we had a BBQ at Justin and Laura's. The boys love when we all get together. They especially love their cousin Matthew. :)

Megan stayed at our house the first night she was home, and when we drove up and Cooper saw her car in the driveway he started chattering about Aunt Megan. It went like this:

Cooper: Aunt Megan's here! Isn't she suppose to be at college? Why does she always go to college? I think she needs to come back here and stay for a while. I want to play with Aunt Megan!

Cooper is talking all the time. I thought the question phase started at age 4, but we are already in it. Here is our convo last night as I am trying to leave his room at bedtime.

Cooper: Mom, so the wedding is tomorrow?
Me: No, it's in two days.
Cooper: So, the wedding is in two days. Is it a long way away?
Me: It's only about 30 minutes away.
Cooper: Oh, okay, so we'll wake up, watch a show, play and then go to the wedding. Are there numbers on the road to 30? Is 30 after 10?
Me: Yes, 30 comes after 10.
Cooper: How come we're not going to the wedding tomorrow? What are we doing in the morning? Is the morning tomorrow? How come everyday there's a morning? Mom, when are we going to Heaven?
Me: One day, Cooper, when we die, we'll be in Heaven.
Cooper: Oh, so like when we're old? What's old? Is 80 old? Is 80 after 30?

...and that was only about a third of the conversation.
