Today, we celebrated the birth of our third born son, Lucas Cole Voigt.
He's sweet. He's slightly goofy. He works well on outdoorsy things--wood building, lawn care, and other around the house jobs. He has a particular style and doesn't stray from it. He has a MAJOR sweet tooth (and at his last dentist appointment, the cavity to prove it). He will randomly give presents away to the people he loves, and has the biggest heart.
This morning we rejoiced in his birth with chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and eggs. We played lots of games (a birthday scavenger hunt! a variation of eat-play-pass candy dice game!) and he watched a movie in the living room with is brothers. Many calls, texts, messages and posts were showered on him. In the evening, we ate a supper of hot dogs, sweet beans and mama's famous insta-pot mac and cheese (by special request of the birthday boy). Then he opened presents--something he not-so-patiently waited to do all day. THEN it was time for cake, ice cream and sprinkles.
Whew! This mama is beat. But my baby boy had a beautiful day, and I'm fit to burst with the knowledge that I get to be his mom.
Happy birthday, Lucas. We love you, times infinity.
