Lucas Budda

Nicknames are so funny. We call Lucas "Lucas Budda" instead of Lucas Buddy. Brayden started it--and I really can't say why. But it has stuck!

On Lucas' 1st birthday, we arrived home from the cruise just in time to wake him up from his nap. My sweet baby! 

Lucas is cruising everywhere but not walking just yet. He's trying every new food he can get his hands on. His new "thing" is fake sneezing. It. Is. Adorable. 

He tilts his head back and brings it down and says "Taaaa". 

He has six teeth and he's had those for a while, but I'm fairly sure his molars are coming in. 

He crawls fast and loves to come in the kitchen and start opening cabinets. (Doesn't every baby?)

He got his first haircut the Wednesday after his birthday...wow this kid has some hair!

And his small but wonderful birthday party was August 16th at the church hall. We ate bbq and watched Lucas crawl around and try to catch the big boys. Matthew brought a small tricycle and Lucas was very interested in it.

We love you so much, Lucas!! No way could we have dreamed how perfect you would be, or how complete our family would be with you in it. Every day you make us laugh. Daddy and Mommy love you so very much!
