Last weekend The Whitneys came to stay with us. We were hoping for cool temperatures and had planned a bonfire complete with s'mores and hot chocolate. What we got was a lot of rain and humidity. But that didn't stop us from having a good time!
Saturday we let the kids play outside and after naptime they decorated pumpkins. We spread out a big sheet and used finger paint. Tab's Mom (Gigi) came by and brought the kids' Halloween goodie bags which they all loved.
Once it was dark Justin lit the bonfire and we did s'mores. The kids really enjoyed it, even though it wasn't cold at all. They had so much fun playing. It was interesting because although they all got along, for a little while Ethan and Brayden played together separately while Cooper and Avery played separately.
Avery just loves Cooper and he let her lead him around with this bashful look on his face. He'd say, "oh, Avery."
Sunday morning they watched a movie and Avery HAD to sit by Cooper. And hold his hand!! Then we let the kids put their mud boots on and jump in muddy puddles. They had a blast, no one more so than Ethan, who was completely brown in a matter of minutes.
We love this family so much!
